Why we built KidScreen Report

We're parents. We wanted to know how much time our kids were spending on their phones — and on which apps — without installing spyware.

What we do

We measure two things: which apps were used and for how long. Then we bundle it into one calm WhatsApp message every Sunday evening. Nothing else.

What we never do

• Read messages, calls, or browsing history.
• Read the contents of any app.
• Track location.
• Hide the app icon.
• Block or restrict apps.

Consent

India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act (2023) requires verifiable parental consent for children's data. During signup, we ask you to confirm this. A phone can only be paired to a child number added toyour account, and the app shows your name before it pairs, so it cannot be set up without you.
