Privacy Policy
Last updated: 28 September 2026.
KidScreen Report is a transparent parental tool. This policy explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and how you can delete it.
1. What we collect on the child's device
- The package name and label of each app that was used.
- How long each app was in the foreground.
- The number of times the phone was unlocked.
- Per-hour totals for the past few days.
- Basic device info: manufacturer, model, Android version, app version, a random install id.
2. What we NEVER collect
- Messages, calls, contacts, or call logs.
- Browsing history, keystrokes, or screen content.
- Location, IMEI, Advertising ID, or any other unique identifier we can associate with a real person.
- The content of any app.
3. What we collect on the parent's side
- Your email and password (hashed).
- Your WhatsApp number, so we can send reports.
- The mobile number of each child registered.
- Payment metadata (order id, status). Card numbers stay with Razorpay.
4. Why
To build and deliver the weekly WhatsApp report. That's it.
5. Sharing
We do not sell or share your child's data with third parties. Razorpay (payments) and Meta WhatsApp Cloud API (messaging) are our only processors, and both are contractually bound to use the data only to provide their service.
6. Retention
- Raw daily usage: 180 days, then automatically deleted.
- Weekly reports: kept for as long as your account exists.
- Everything: deleted within 30 days of you closing your account.
7. Deleting your data
You can delete data yourself, in two ways.
- Delete usage data. One click on your dashboard, or in the app when you are signed in as the parent. It removes the usage data of every child on your account at once, and the paired phones drop their copy. Your account, plan, children and past weekly reports are kept. This can be used once every 30 days, and only by the parent.
- Erase everything. Visit the delete data page at any time. We erase all devices, usage, reports and alerts for the child(ren), and mark the parent account as closed.
We keep a record that a deletion happened (the date and how many rows were removed), not the data itself. A plain-language summary is on the Data & security page.
8. Consent — DPDP Act 2023
India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act requires verifiable parental consent for a child's data. You consent to this at signup and again each time you pair a new phone.
